Whole 30 day 15- aka "halfway"

Breakfast was roasted beets and hazelnuts, sautéed red chard, and kale balsamic sausage.
Lunch was with a friend!  We grilled about 100 drumsticks.  She made a salt and garlic paste and we coated them and for the bigger kids I added just a little kick- some chili powder, cumin, paprika, and cayenne and finished with a squeeze of lime.  I sautéed some sweet potatoes and pecans in coconut oil and with some chipotle sprinkled lightly on top.  Along with a salad i slapped some garlicky guacamole on my plate.  The sweet potatoes really worked so neat with guacamole in the mouth.

Ok- so I promise to write a post on friendship here in the northwest and how it's kind of a unique regional situation.  My friend Anne, who came over today with her two lovely chiluns, mused with me about what the big deal is.  I might just go ahead and post this so I can begin writing the friendship one...

Oh- almost forgot about dinner!  Zoodles and hot chicken Italian sausage with tomato sauce helped along by frontier pizza seasoning.  And I only had one zucchini- I typically eat 1.5 zukes in the form of noodles so I grabbed a handful of cooked carrots leftover from the kids dinner last night and threw it in.  I doubt I achieved my fat needs for dinner, though the sausage was pretty greasy.
