Wednesday last week, dad woke up with a crazy bloody looking eyeball. We went to mass. Then I took mom dress shopping. I came home and it was still bloody looking so I took a picture so he could look at it closely.
"Wow, that looks awful. Could you send it to my eye doctor?"
He gave me the number and I dutifully sent it. He called up his dr's office to ask if the dr had received the texted picture. The nurse said she wasn't sure. So dad asks what the dr's number is. Nurse says she can't give out that information. Dad then asks the nurse if the number he gave me was the correct number. She said no.
As this was all on speaker phone and I was eating lunch in the kitchen next to him at the table I heard it all play out.
It occurred to me that I just sent the creepiest picture on my phone to some random number. That some special someone had received a text that would send shivers up their spine.
