Henry is sweet 16!

16 is one of two birthdays of our kids where we throw a birthday party- because parties kind of give me hives- or more precisely *planning* a party gives me hives.
So- in a week or so he's taking out some of his friends and playing paintball.
But today we had a standard Tuesday of polo practice and laying about.
For dinner we are at claim jumper and ate a marble cake with strawberry ganache icing. Max outdid himself- it was delicious!
Henry went to the pediatrician for a check up yesterday and is 6'1.5 and 165 lbs.
He's still about a month away from driving as Washington state law requires a 30 hour driver's Ed course to get a license.
He loves polo and texting with friends.
He loves new music and playing his electric guitar. The current song he is working at is "sweet home Alabama".
He is funny and sweet and gifted with puns. Alice calls him "Henny" which sounds like honey- just like sam called him back when he called her "tar tar" and the fridge a "food rater" and pineapples "Apple pies" and toothbrushes "brushteeths".
You've come a long way bud. And we are proud of you.
