The Great ADVENTure : day 14
After mass we ran up to Norcross to pay off the Honda. I still don't know why Chris couldn't have just mailed a check. But 5 years later- now the Honda is ours.
I ran back by my mom's to get the stroller and pick up mom and dad before heading out to Honeycreek woodlands to visit jedidiah's grave.
It was cold and overcast- like a piece of seattle in the south.
We arrived a little after 3 and followed the marked path to the new steward's place. It is much bigger with room for socializing and Serving refreshments. We took a cart for mom and dad to ride with john. Samantha decided to drive them out to the grave and let max drive the return trip.
It was so peaceful and quiet at times- at least when Frankie wasn't whining about having to walk. She soon decided that pushing Alice in the stroller was an adequate consolation prize.
At the bridge over the creek john threw a couple of rocks over into the water and the others played pooh sticks then back to walking or riding or driving. Out at the grave Samantha made a new cross while I nursed the baby. We sang "O come O come Emmanuel" and said a little prayer. We had to rush the return trip because the sky was darkening by the minute.
We piled into the RV after saying goodbye to Matt and headed home. I drove by the house on oak grove road- the one with the lights programmed to the music that you can tune your radio to. Then we went to felini's for pizza and salad.
We came home to eat brownies by Mary Jane and ice cream.
Bedtime was uneventful and quick, everyone tired from the day.
