pregnancy/babywearing coat

i really liked the pregnancy/babywearing coat that lilliesofthevalley
sells on etsy. i liked everything but the pricetag. so i analyzed
the product pictures and put together my knock-off. it has served me
well. and today it came in handy. it was so ultra windy but the kids
wouldn't be satisfied just staying inside. and john slept warm and
snuggly the whole time.
the kids call it my "ninja coat" because with my hood up i look like a
ninja.
chris says i look like i am wearing a bathrobe. but john thinks i am
beautiful and warm- and so what else matters? Edited to add- I haven't made the tutorial. Been super busy. But I documented making a zip-in panel for my existing coat. I'm putting together the video now and will post it shortly(this weekend 9/27)

Hi there! I am trying to come up with a pattern for this coat for myself as well (so beautiful, but I can't afford the price!!). Do you have any tips (or by chance a rough pattern??) I would love to talk to you. I haven't seen anyone else attempt a baby wearing wrap-style coat diy, and yours turned out beautifully!!! The email address I check is tara_davis20@hotmail.com. Again, I would love to talk to you, you did a wonderful job on this coat!!!

Did you ever put together a tutorial? I love the jacket as well, and have a lot of fleece that I need to use for something.

Thanks,

I haven't yet.
How detailed do you need it to be?
I don't know how to read a pattern- so I'm not sure I'd know how to write one so well.
If you just needed a rough idea I could definitely do that.

Hi together,

first of all: Sorry for my bad englisch!! :(
I hope, you all can understand me.

Today i fell in love with these in Canada made Maternity Wrap Coat. It is sooo beautiful, but i am not able to pay this high price. Also the costs for the sending.. from Canada to Germany .. uff... very expensive.

I showed this Coat to my best friend and she also fell in love with it. Now we spent hours in searching for a pattern.

At least, we found this site and that you have made this wrappable coat. SOOOOOO beautiful!!!!

Maybe someone of you have made a pattern now or could help us?! I cant make anything, but by friend is able to use a sewing machine ;)

That would be soooo sooo great and you would make us very happy!! We are both pregnant at the moment... She: 4th Month and me 5th month since today. So this maternity coat would be soooo great!!!

Many many thanks in advance!

You can contact me by mailing to:

Many thanks and greetings from 2 Girls in Germany :)
