the catch-all stroller

to celebrate chris' first day off in a month we hit the greenway today.
this is how our adventure began.
chris ran.
i pushed the stroller and walked.
henry rollerbladed.
samantha heelied.
max rollerbladed.
george heelied.
mary jane biked.
frances rode in the stroller.

soon out of the blocks the group split into a "faster group" and a
"slower group".
the faster group was comprised of chris, samantha, and mary jane.
i stayed with the slower group. the boys who have never rollerbladed
or heelied before, limping along on fallen leaves and wet wooden
boardwalk.
before long we were met by the faster group who had turned around for
some water(in the stroller basket).

this is where the stroller underwent metamorphosis.

henry had actually already stowed his skates and helmet on the
stroller. max followed as did george. the boys walked barefoot.
mary jane biked with samantha heeling and chris walked with them.
frances ran and caught leaves, twirling every so often, humming to
herself. The faster group turned and came back again for water.
chris took over pushing the stroller. mary jane got tired. chris
threw her bike onto the stroller along with her helmet. frances tired
and looked for a seat to find none so chris passed the stroller to me
so he could carry frances on his shoulders.
and here is the final product.
samantha and i finished the way we started.
chris was walking.
henry was barefoot and walking.
so was max.
so was george.
mary jane walked in shoes.
