underdog of pictionary

the teams were: henry, samantha, and george vs. max, mary jane, and me.

we haven't played in awhile- so besides learning the rules over again the older kids needed to learn some compassion as well. whenever a missmatch occured during an "all play" square the favorite team would scoff and gloat while the underdog team would moan. i had to draw against george during one "all play" and his team was full of scowls and groans. henry went on and on saying how unfair it was. then at one point mary jane had to draw against henry and henry didn't bring up the unfairness. henry won, but mary jane drew THE CUTEST fire engine!

so we were behind the whole game, until we caught the other team on the very last square. and-mary jane met up with henry - again.

the word was..."unicorn". nobody is a match for a four year old girl when the word is "unicorn". the top picture is the one drawn by henry. samantha kept calling out "dog! wolf!". the bottom picture is the one drawn by mary jane-sideways- sorry. i guessed "horse!" and she raised only one eyebrow and said "no" in a voice laden with hint-ish qualities. when she began drawing the horn our victory was sealed.

we laughed about henry's wolf-unicorn with the square tail.

i kind of like how the unicorn feet look like wheels. and the smile is just adorable. same smile as the fire engine.
