for the very same reason schooler parents are eagerly awaiting the return to school, so am i. i, just as much as those parents, want those public schoolers out of my hair. ugh- i will have to work on this faulty streak in my character.
You are hysterical... Our home-schoolers out here on the west side are planning a monthly trip to the monastery every second Friday of the month. You are welcome to join us. :) [Nothing formal - just lunch and whatever...]

Yes - Conyers... I won't be around on the 12th of August, but the kiddos have asked that we go the following Friday (19th) :)
We went last Friday (8th) and it was such a joy! Besides my own, I brought along three other home-schoolers. The woman in charge of the greenhouse was very helpful and full of information regarding the bonsai and how meditative it can be to have and care for one... Sam (who is 13) bought one and hopes to one day be in charge of the whole greenhouse there! (As a monk!!!) ~too cool... :)
