plane

at lunch today i was telling the kids about the fernbank planetarium- and how i used to go there ok field trips when i was a little dekalb county schoolgirl. about the guy who manned the huge robotic projector- he also had a flashlight that had a beam that was a green arrow so he could point out stars and constellations. i found myself really really wanting to take them. the hush of wiggly school kids as the sky darkens and the "sun" sets. once, i fell asleep. it was so peaceful in there. i guess that is where city kids go to see stars.

i liked the planeterium too when i was a kid. but there was always a quiet strange vibe there..

maybe the 300 episodes of star trek memorized by heart gave off of an odor?

peaceful is what i remember and wonderment..
