today we needed a quick burst of heat. i had an idea and asked george to get a phone book.
"what's a phone book?"
he had no idea. the reason why he doesn't know what it is is the same reason why i wanted to get rid of it.
we NEVER use it.
how many other things that we used EVERY day growing up will not only be obsolete but unrecognizable to our kids.
that phone book did us a great final service. a very toasty toasty service.

We never use our phonebook anymore, mostly check the internet. But, I realized one day how bad it is to be dependent on machines that rely on electricity when ours was out, and I needed a number, and no phone book!
