we headed to manhatten after morning mass and this time i didn't forget my camera.

we took a ferry cruise around the south end of manhatten. we set out from battery park and swept up the eastern coast and ducked under the brooklyn bridge before turning back south and heading around to the hudson river.


on the hudson we got great views of the statue of liberty.






in the background of this picture you see samantha heelying. that, by far, is the best idea on this trip. we had all three kids heelying when we were in dc two summers ago. they just held onto the stroller and picked their toes up. no walking was needed. she's the only one who fits the heelys now so she was the only one who benefitted this time around.
after landing back at battery park we headed into the financial district and had some pizza and salad. we were all pretty fried and i was anticipating meeting the sisters so we headed back to brooklyn to scrub up.
