chris has been on THREE interviews for the same position at the same company. i think the only person he's not met is the janitor. they called today and want him to go to lunch at houston's (yeah!) with the accounting team he'll be managing. so that's great great news. i wonder at what point will they realize that he only owns one suit. i'll clarify, he only owns one suit that fits presently.
here's the tricky part. his present job has him trained to fill a grunt's job if the grunt's union goes on strike. well, the grunt's union's contract is up tomorrow. and since the company he works for is so very unfriendly to employees, it's highly likely the union will not like the terms of the new contract. if they strike, he has twenty four hours to get to detroit- where he will spend 12 hours a day on the phone as a collector. if he's in detroit, it'll be hard to have lunch with the new team on monday. he doesn't take after padre pio in the bilocation department, just the sandal wearing department.
and now, do you see why he's looking for another job? so prayers are greatly appreciated at this time.
