LENT
so for lent i decided to be like the kids and give up something i really hate. like homework or chores. i decided it was time to say goodbye to the rest of my hair. i mean, so many hairs have left me without looking back. not so much as a phone call. so today i said "enough!". on ash wednesday it seems like what should have been my christian response to such a problem would pan out like this- me keep my rapidly thinning hair. me offer a prayer for lost orphans everytime i find one on my pillow, in the shower drain, in franky's diaper, or in my food- ugh! but what would happen is this - i'd be praying ceaselessly as paul calls us to do. and while i think paul means well, i don't think he meant that kind of prayer. at least not for my vocation as a mother to six. so here it is.

Oooh - I like the new cut! It looks fabulous...BTW, when you're pregnant all of your hair follicles produce due to hormones (normally about 25% of your hair follicles are in a "resting" state). After the baby is born, 25% go back to "rest," and, as they do, they fall out! So, don't stress too much... Susan
so what you're saying is that my hair is normally going to be this thin and lifeless? at least for now i have a companion that never leaves my side and makes me look less follicularlly challenged.
HEY!!!! That is so great! I also love the look and agree that it is much less aggrivating when the short hair can give freedom to worry about much less.
In fact, strangely enough, yesterday, this was also part of my plan. I snipped mine much! shorter for the same reason. Although I keep mine short usually anyway, I thought of the true work it is for me during the Lenten Season to do what I promised. This would allow me to do less of the petty things.
ALSO- I gave up something I hate too! THE T.V. a love-hate thing for me. ahhhh, this will be a wonderful thing to not do, really.
I keep coming back to look at your pictures here. You look so wonderful with both styles.
