today i am busy making bread, doing laundry, and tracking down ski bibs. the kids have a half day today. i'm supposed to go to parent/teacher conferences after they get home, but don't have babysitting lined up so who knows what's going to happen. tomorrow, after a good breakfast of french toast, eggs, and bacon we head north for snow and hills. the kids are so excited, as am it. they were surprisingly good and independent last year. this year will be george's first attempt at the sport. i believe he'll be great. besides the boudreauxs (it's their third year joining us for this february ski weekend tradition) christina and mike are joining us as well as denise and niko. rose and her fam aren't- as her nesting period begins. i know my kids are going to miss her kids. samantha was heard last week saying, "oh, erin's not coming? she was such a good buddy!" ah, the buddy system.
i hope the weather helps the snowmaking. the highs were in the 70s for the past two days. we loved it, but kept thinking, "is there going to be ANY snow?"
got to go. the bread machine just stopped churning and the loaves need to rise. where were those mittens i wore last year that were soooooo cozy?

ooohhh, cozy mittens sound nice. My feet could use some warm cozy booties right about now.
