happy epiphany!

after scouts last night i headed on over to the narthex of the church to see if there was anymore houseblessing chalk. fr. jack made an announcement after mass on sunday but i was so disctracted with a lost shoe and catching up with karen, our church secretary, that i completely forgot. thankfully there was more than enough. the man that helped me find the chalk informed me that i needed to bury whatever was left of it. so today we bless our home. here's info on what to do and how. and here's a lovely poem by t s elliot that really helps to visualize the three kings' journey.

ps- had to update this entry with a pic. we raided my ample fabric stash for three king outfits. thee boys had lots of fun getting ready. and mary jane, seeing anyone climb on anything, had to join.
