Whole30 and potty training and miscellaneous business

I started my whole 30 Tuesday at dinner and I had zoodles with pasta sauce and hot Italian chicken sausage.
I was going to start Wednesday but as I finished the book Tuesday afternoon my fridge was ready and I was ready - I was excited to begin.
So the meal break down for yesterday Wednesday was wilted spinach, sweet potato & apple sausage patties for breakfast, and for lunch a giant mixed greens salad with sautéed chicken and spices with an avocado and balsamic and olive oil for dressing. I threw some cashews on top and cut up a Roma tomato.
And for dinner I roasted a couple chickens with tarragon, marjoram, and diced garlic*. While the oven was hot I also roasted some sweet potatoes and squash in coconut oil and sea salt. and I finished with a side salad.

This morning I woke at 6 and couldn't go back to sleep- as opposed to pressing the snooze button at 6:20 and then again at 6:29.
I felt good and did a Pilates fitness blender for core video and then ate. Getting up I felt very shaky and decided breakfast should eat before working out.
But over all I feel positive so far.

In other news alice is on day 4 of potty training. She still wears a diaper at night but during the day it's either naked bum or undies. I need to get out and buy her some little girl undies because she is wearing john's old briefs.
And she is sprouting her lower canines. Typically my teethers don't have patience enough to sit on the potty, but if I catch her *right* after nursing she is so docile and easy and just sits and lets me read a book to her while she potties.
Last night she was having nothing of it. She had such a long jag of crying/screaming that I was thrown back into the days of her colic. Chris walked in on me just holding her on the floor of the bathroom last night after dinner. He just told me to suit us up and we could head to the pool. I was reluctant- I didn't really think I had the energy to handle her throwing a fit at the pool.
But she was awesome! She completely calmed down and interacted with us and was very bubbly after a few good splashes.
She continues to jump in and want us to let her go. I am going to get her a lifevest and train her to "swim" in it so she has a bit more independence.

Mary Jane, George, and Frankie advanced to the next grade in math this week. Their new books should arrive today. I also need to order standardized tests! And empty the black water from the camper! And get the camper's oil changed! So much to do!

*and butter. This isn't W30 compliant- I know, it's just a recipe I have made for some 13 years now and it's so knee jerk I didn't realize what I had done until I had the birds were in the oven. Thanks to Anne for talking me out of my pharisaical ways and out of making a second dinner. I vow to be more conscientious going forward.

LOL, I'm glad you ate the chicken. A *minute* amount of butter isn't going to kill your W30. Excited for you and will be ready to start once you're about at day 15 ; )
